Techniques and Abilities

Shin is known for being a very capable and formidable opponent within the Tenjho Tenge series. Listed below are some of his known techniques and abilities.

Ryuugan (Dragon’s Eye)
The ability that was awakened in Shin as a child, Ryuugan, is a power which can synchronize with the spirit of all things. It allows him the ability to see and hear the dead, as well as view the past, present and possible future. If one is unable to control his Ryuugan, he can become insane, much of which had happened to Shin.

Reiki
The evil ceremonial heirloom of the Natsume family. It allows one with abilities to use them more freely. Shin carried this blade with him the majority of the time and his frequent use of its power is partly responsible for him losing control of his Ryuugan.

Ryuukei Qigong - Tashinkou (Dragon Style Qigong - Forged Iron Needle)
The greatest of secrets within the Takayanagi clan that has been passed down for generations. Shin Natsume stole the technique while in the service of Dogen Takayanagi. It is a technique which uses the fulcrum-based transference skill of "reverse striking" to transmit the user's power through the air. This is achieved by collecting the rotational force of one's motion until it forms unto a needle, forged by their own ki. At that point, that collected atmospheric force would then be directed from the circular motion into a straight line (via a punch), where it is sent barreling into the target.

Iron Finger Technique
The finger (usually the thumb) is rammed through the muscle into a vital organ. The target is usually towards the liver and the effects of this technique can be fatal.
